Kenneth Barnett

On Friday, December 11, 2020, Kenneth (Kenny) Barnett answered God’s call peacefully inside his home located in Carlton, GA at the age of 60.

Kenny was born on September 18, 1960 in Athens, GA to the late Lonnie and Wadine (Mattox) Barnett. He was raised in Carlton, GA and graduated from Madison County High School. After high school, he began working at DuPont from which he later retired.

Kenny was a pillar in his community and he was very much loved by all those he encountered for his helping hands and selfless heart. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, gardening, quilting and being a great father and grandfather. His grandkids were the joys of his life.

 Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie; mother, Wadine; brother, Lonnie Jr; sister, Maxine Gresham; and his twin sister, Kathryn Barnett. He is survived by his only daughter, Kendra Barnett; his two grandchildren, Asher Barnett and Aleah Barnett; 12 siblings, Roy Barnett, Charlie Barnett, Walter Barnett, Frazier Barnett, Lois (Barnett) Kenney, Teresa Barnett, Gloria Barnett, Wayne Gantt, Walton Gantt, Dorothy (Gantt) Sorrell, Belinda Fleming, and Eugene Strong; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
