Harry Mattox

Deacon Harry Mattox was born December 15, 1953 to the late James and Savannah Mattox. He was born the 8th of nine children. 

At an early age, Harry was baptized at the New Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. L.A. Jackson. He served faithfully on the New Bethlehem Baptist Church Male Choir, Sunday School, church activities and all other religious duties asked of him. 

Harry leaves to cherish wonderful memories, wife, Brenda Mattox; children, Valerie Henson, Hope Dorsey, Terry Dorsey, Quentin Moon, Kanisha Moon and Ieshia Laguins; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, James (Louise) Mattox, Jean Henson, Katie Harris, Rose Mattox, Jimmy (Elise) Mattox and Dante Smith; Honorary Brother, L.S. (Mattie) Echols; one uncle, Johnny Mack Echols; father and mother-in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Raymond (Martha) Davenport; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
